Monday Art/Journal Prompt

Time for another Monday art/journal prompt. I thought it might be fun to do something with numbers this week. Given that this week is 12/12/12 and that is pretty fun and interesting, maybe we can explore our ideas about numbers.

There is a lot of fun info out there about numbers. For example: 12/12/12 is the last repeating date until 1/1/2101. Most of us won’t live long enough to see that date come around. So what are you doing to celebrate the last repeating date of this century?

Maybe there are some other numbers that you like or don’t like. Do you play around with numerology?  Numbers that are inspiring or interesting or have special meaning for you? What about your favorite number? Your lucky number? Your children’s birth dates, your wedding date, your social security number, your best friend’s phone number. Numbers are everywhere……and I’ll bet you have some that have meaning for you.

So make art, draw pictures, write about numbers, do some math problems. 🙂

And have fun!

  1. Great idea Deb! I don’t use numbers that much in my journal (don’t know why) but now I think I might give it a go. As you said, numbers are all around us. I might make a page about last night, we went to see a really nice movie, so a date or our seat numbers could be incorporated. You inspired me! 🙂 Thanks!
