Monday Art/Journal Prompt

Welcome to another Monday Art/Journal prompt. I had a great time at Art & Soul Retreat in Portland. It is so wonderful to be immersed in art for a week. I love being surrounded by other creative and artistic people. There is just so much talent out there. Amazing!

This week’s prompt is to create a landscape. I made some beautiful landscapes while I was gone. I am pretty pleased with the way they turned out. I was also infatuated with our view from our hotel room. We looked out over the river and had a beautiful view of the sunrise and the moonrise, right over the water. Yummy! I didn’t paint the river view yet, but I will!

You can also just write about your favorite landscape and why you love it. I know some of you would rather write than paint or draw something. It’s all good! Have fun with it!

  1. Deb your painting is absolutely amazing! I am in love with it! What technique did you use?

I WAS IN PORTLAND WITH DEB. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND LEARNED THIS GREAT TECHNIQUE WITH ALCOHOL INKS. THERE IS A GREAT ARTICLE IN THE CLOTH PAPER SCISSORS MAGAZINE JULY/AUGUST ISSUE THAT HIGHLIGHTS OUR INSTRUCTOR FOR THIS CLASS. I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO READ IT AND PLAY. I LOVED IT. AND THE BONUS WAS THE BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE FROM OUR WINDOW SHOWN HERE IN DEB’S BLOG.
