Monday Challenge – Old Friends

This week’s challenge is to reach out to an old friend. It seems that we sometimes lose contact with old friends. Somebody moves, changes jobs, gets divorced, gets married, has a baby, etc. You know there are all kinds of reasons why we lose touch, and most of them don’t really make any sense. And then time just swallows us up and it seems even more difficult to make contact.

So just reach out to an old forgotten friend. Call, write, email, facebook, whatever way you can. I know that they will be pleased to hear from you, and you will wonder why you kept putting it off. I sent an email to an old friend that I hadn’t talked to in ages. I knew she had moved so I didn’t have her new address, but I did have an email contact. She was thrilled to hear from me, and we plan to get together sometime soon to catch up with each other. We both were mortified that we hadn’t been in touch with one another for so long, but with old friends you can just pick up where you left off.

Actually saw a friend in DC I hadn’t seen in 10 years (although I have been back 3 or 4 times during that period) and hadn’t talked to in about 4-5 years. It was really great catching up.
