Monday Challenge – Sharing Art

When I started this whole idea of a challenge every week, it seemed like it would be easy to come up with lots of ideas. Over half-way through the year, I am struggling with ideas. I need to get some more ideas. I’m open to suggestions?

Anyway, for this week’s challenge I would like to offer the idea of sharing your art. Whether you think of yourself as an Artist or an artist-wanna-be or just a dabbler, art is part of your identity. And art is not just about painting or drawing or sewing, but also it is about any type of creation that you do. That includes cooking or decorating or throwing parties. Everyone is artistic in one way or another.

So this week, take some time to share whatever artistic gifts you have. You can offer to teach somebody a new art technique, or bake that perfect apple pie and take it to your neighbor, or donate some artwork to a local charity event, or offer to collaborate on a project with someone.

Sharing what we do as creative people, enriches ourselves and those we share it with. There are many art sharing sites you can join and be part of. You can share your photos on Flickr or other photo-sharing sites. You can share your experiences on your blog or on Facebook or some other networking site.

Be part of the art community, whatever art you choose to practice. And leave a comment here about what you decide to do.
