The last 1/2 mile!

Walking is a wonderful form of exercise as well as a great way to clear your mind and sort your thoughts. But I have noticed one particularly annoying thing. It doesn’t matter if I walk 2 miles, 5 miles, 10 miles, or any other number, and it doesn’t seem to matter where I am walking either.  What I have noticed is that the last 1/2 mile I walk is always the hardest. I am dragging and slowing down and sweating way too much and really wishing the walk was finished. I’m sure it is a mental thing, as it really is the same no matter how long the entire walk is. I wonder how I can get past that? Anyone else have the same experience?
