Book Review

Threads, The basics & beyond

I want to recommend this book, Threads, The basics & beyond, by Liz Kettle & Debbie Bates. This is a great book to have in your crafting library. The book is full of great information and equally great photos. This book has everything you want to know about threads and then some. But it is also a book to teach you about your machine. You will come away with so much knowledge that you can use in your projects, that you will wonder how you ever got by without it. There are step by step instructions for everything from trapunto to making tassels to thread painting and everything in-between. And there are wonderful finished projects for you to look at and maybe give a hand to trying.

Oh, and one of the best things about the book is it is spiral bound! Yay. It lays flat for you to easily work out of it, without having to weight it down with something heavy.

I hope you all check out this book. You can also check out Liz’s web-site, Textile Evolution, for information about ordering it directly from her.

Will the book threads be available to buy at the Textile retreat?
